Commercial Lines Representative (Guam)

Commercial Lines Department in Property and Casualty Division

Responsibilities which include but not limited to:

• Knowledge of basic aspects of personal lines underwriting

• Assisting call-in and walk-in customers with insurance needs and providing quotations

• Communicating with brokers and/or agents

• Conducting renewal reviews of policies to update account information and identifying new exposures

• Determining rates and premium for all lines of insurance with exception of those requiring management or AIG referral

• Processing commercial policies (new and renewal)

• Completing all compliance forms required by Insurance Company to evaluate risk for new and renewing clients

• Educating customers on product features, benefits and cost savings

• Issuing certificates and binders such as Automobile Insurance Certificates and Certificates of Insurance

• Maintaining consistent contact with all major accounts

• Scheduling survey of risks with company appraisers and accompanying them if necessary

• Performing clerical duties such as faxing, filing, typing documents

• Assisting in collection of accounts

• Backing up Telephone Operator/Receptionist when necessary

• Maintaining files in a neat and orderly fashion

• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Position Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required

• Two years in auto and home insurance experience preferred

• Must have excellent communication skills in verbal and written form

• Experience with Microsoft Office (ex: Outlook Express, Microsoft Word/Excel)

• Experience with operating Xerox machine (ex: Copy, Fax and Scan)
