Paymaster / Human Resources Assistant
Human Resources Department in Property and Casualty Division

Responsibilities
-
Responsible for company-wide payroll administration
-
Responds to HR-related frequently asked questions from employees and applicants particularly standard company policies and procedures, benefits and hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to the HR Manager
-
Processes new hires and exiting employees
-
Assists in recruiting such as phone screening and applicant reference checks
-
Responsible for updating and maintaining applicant tracking logs and forms necessary for Affirmative Action Plan purposes
-
Processes employee benefit plan enrollments and changes, leaves of absence and work compensation
-
Handles requests from outside parties/agencies related to 401(k) compliance audit, CNMI and Guam quarterly wage reports, etc.

Maintains the HR section of the employee bulletin boards to make sure postings are updated particularly the labor law posters, OSHA logs, workers compensation certificate, job openings etc.

Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately

Prepares Verification of Employment letters upon request

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records

Assists in coordinating company events and leads in gathering information for company newsletter

Acts as a liaison in assisting the manager and/or supervisor with general IT requests such as setting up or terminating employee email addresses and network accesses

Any other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Position Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
-
Prior payroll administration and human resources experience preferred
-
Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality and independent judgment in the performance of responsibilities

Experience with Microsoft Office (ex: Outlook Express, Microsoft Word/Excel)
-
Experience with operating Xerox machine (ex: Copy, Fax and Scan)

Pays attention to detail

Must have excellent communication skills in verbal and written form
