HR Generalist
Human Resources Department in Property and Casualty Division
As of February 20th, 2025
Purpose
Perform daily functions in Human Resources (HR) to include but not limited to employment policies and procedures, benefits and leaves administration, talent acquisition, data recording and management, workers compensation and safety independently.
Principal Accountability And Responsibilities

Serve as a primary contact to any HR-related inquiries from employees, management and outside parties and provide guidance with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and Guam employment law and compliance requirements

Participate in developing and updating department guidelines and procedures
-
Perform full-cycle recruiting from preparation, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring and on-boarding
-
Administer company-wide leaves of absence, employee benefit plans, workers compensation and safety with minimal supervision

Coordinate benefit open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs and create necessary employee communication materials

Maintain the HR Information System (HRIS) and HR records
-
Gather data and create reports necessary for Affirmative Action Plan

Create, prepare and submit reports and correspondences on general HR activity
-
Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data gathered

Develop, plan and recommend activities for employee morale and promote company culture

Serve as a back-up for payroll administration and employee files
-
Other job related duties as assigned
Experience and Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
-
Prior work experience in HR Generalist role handling moderate to complex tasks/projects
-
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
-
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
-
Efficient HR administration and people management skills
-
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
-
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS systems
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
