Wellness Program Coordinator (Guam)

Wellness Department in Life & Health Division

Responsibilities 
  • Plan, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain company-wide wellness initiatives and programs

  • Lead wellness educational campaigns on behavior change programming, health assessments and screening, and smoking cessation

  • Conduct program assessments and employee surveys to assess priorities in program development.

  • Prioritize programs and interventions based on reported data that will make the greatest impact on participants and clients

  • Organize health and wellness events by coordinating, communicating, promoting and implementing related activities, including onsite biometric, health screenings blood drives, flu-shots, fitness classes, lunch and learn seminars and any other wellness targeted topics necessary

  • Act as a liaison in the company to gather ideas, boost participation and sustain interest in wellness.

  • Prepare reporting on impact of the wellness programming and initiatives by analyzing data and/or reports collected from health risk assessments, biometric screenings, etc.

  • Assist in employer groups with communications about wellness programs

  • Enhance program opportunities to personalize and increase employee participation

  • Lead wellness committee to increase employee engagement and assist with implementation and communication of initiatives

  • Establish relationships with all internal departments and external partners and vendors to increase involvement in wellness components

  • Makes budget recommendations regarding wellness initiatives/programs

  • Keep abreast of current national wellness initiatives and activities

  • Any other job related duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Health Sciences, Physical Education, with specialization in Recreation, Fitness and Wellness or related field is preferred or similar work experience

  • Knowledge of planning, coordinating and conducting a diversified wellness program

  • Must have excellent communication skills in verbal and written form

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (ex: Outlook Express, Microsoft Word/Excel)

  • Experience with operating Xerox machine (ex: Copy, Fax and Scan)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain confidential documents and information

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines

  • Training and certification in various fitness and wellness programming is a plus
